Preparing for seminary formation

Discernment continues through preparation, spiritual growth, and pastoral experience. Many candidates undertake a Propaedeutic Year before entering the Beda, strengthening prayer, stability, and vocational clarity prior to formal formation.

Beginning a discernment conversation
Initial discernment normally begins through diocesan vocations directors. The College can support conversations when formation at the Beda may be appropriate.
We encourage all candidates to remain in close dialogue with their diocesan vocations director throughout discernment.
