The first week of the induction for new students concluded with a Mass in the ancient church of Santa Maria in Vivario in Frascati, a visit to Castel Gandolfo and Nemi and a meal by the lakeside at Lake Albano. The Feast of the Archangels, Michael, Gabirel and Raphael was a fitting celebration for the end of this week which has been, as always, a steep learning curve for the new students. The day out to the Castelli towns was at a different pace to the work done in the previous few days, and provided a relaxing space away from the bustle of Rome.
A weekend of discernment for men over 30 took place at St Bueno's Spirituality Centre from 15th to 17th September. This was an experiment which proved to a be a great success. Ten people booked on the weekend and all went away feeling greatly supported and encouraged. More details are on the Beda Life/ Vocations Promotion tab.It is hoped that a similar weekend can be organised next year. Details will be posted when they are available.
