On May 12th 2014, seminarians from across Rome (and from a great number of nations) were invited to be with the Pope at the Paul VI Audience Hall. Answering with good humour, insight and care, the pope received questions from a selected number of seminarians. He drew on his own experiences as a young priest and then as archbishop. The Beda students in turn took much from this, not least the inspiration to continue to progress towards ministry.
The College welcomed the bishops of the South African Catholic Bishops’ Conference at the end of April. Bishops from Botswana, the Republic of South Africa and Swaziland gathered for their Ad Limina visit to the Holy Father and to pray at the tombs of St Peter and St Paul. After Mass in the Basilica of St Paul outside the Walls, the bishops were welcomed to dine with the College just across the road.
