The photos opposite show some of the visits to places of interest which happened during the past academic year.
Many students take the opportunity to see these local places of interest around Rome and to take part in annual events. Major Canonisations such as that of Oscar Romero and some of the Holy Week and other major ceremonies can also be attended. Tickets are made available to students for these.
The seven Churches walk on the Wednesday of Holy Week, and the Lenten Station Masses every weekday of Lent at 7.00 am are favourite activities.
Some professors give their time to take groups of students to places connected with their courses. The English cemetery, the modern art gallery and the ancient site of Ostia Antica are among these and are illustrated here.
Small groups of students visit many other places inside and out of Rome on their days off or during the semester break.
